We are a Tyre and Mechanical service that offer great service at a great price. We are a part of the Co Op Tyrepower and as such we get preferential pricing with our suppliers. That means we are able to pass the pricing on to our customers.
We opened business in a empty shed in October of 1987. We opened under the name Gary's Tyres. We started with humble beginnings with one tyre fitter, Gary and an introductory offer of 4 retreads for $99 any size! The next year Gary hired a mechanic and the 3 ran the shop for the next twelve years. Since then, Gary made a name for honest reliable service with a joke and a laugh.
In 1999 with advice from the Kelly Tyre rep Gary joined Tyrepower, a national co-op with stores all around Australia. The following year Gary's Tyrepower was named Tyrepower Dealer of the Year NSW. Year over year the business grew and grew and Tyrepower allowed Gary to have access to a vast array of product and support. The store flourished and the Tyrepower network allowed Gary's customers to get a high level of service no matter where they were in the country. Around the year 2000 Gary hired another fitter.
After so many years of steady growth the store grew with the community and Gary started to see the next generation of customers walk in to the store. The trust was always there and many sons and daughters came in to the store with their parents advice "Do what Gary tells you!"
In early 2012 the store has been vastly revamped and almost every machine in the store is new and the store has modernized with a computer system, increased storage area, more fitting and balancing machines and new lifts. Regenerating itself for what has been immediate growth. The store now has a full time receptionist, two full time fitters a full time wheel aligner a mechanic and an apprentice and two part time staff as well as Gary and the newcomer Blain.
As we move into the future Gary's Tyrepower will continue to grow with the same philosophy that is started with back in 1987, providing honest reliable service on the Coast with a joke and a laugh! This underpins everything that we do, we look forward to a bright future. See you soon!!!
